‘This glass is a beach refined by hands and then fire, shaped by breath and gravity…’

To make this unique glass the artist has followed ancient methods, using seaweed as a flux to melt the sand from Porthmeor, transforming the beach into glass. Standing here, you can look at the beach through the lens of itself.

A short film that tells the story of this glass can be found here.

Porthmeor is on loan from the artist.
